Custom Pet Tapestries
If your pet or favorite animal could be the star of their very own custom tapestry, who would they really be?
Customs are our speciality...
We can take your favorite pet(s) and make them into a heirloom quality woven tapestry. These pieces are created in North Carolina on full count looms, and finished by us at our shop in Virginia before being sent on to you.
You choose the Body Style
You get to choose your pets new appearance. Whether they are royalty, a Hollywood Icon or something more mundane, we can transform your favorite friend for you!
We get to work
Once we have your images, you should have a proof in your email within 2 weeks. This will allow you to make any minor adjustments to ensure eye color and markings are correct.
Note- If you later decide to change the body style or the image for the work, it can cost extra to redo it- so be aware!
At the weavers...
Once you approve the proof, we send it to our weaver, where they create your custom piece and return the unfinished tapestry to us for continued production. This can take up to 4 weeks- 6 weeks after Mid-October.
Finishing Production
When the tapestries return from the weaver, we get right to work on finishing your piece for you. If you choose a pillow, we back and stuff it. If you got a wall hanging, we put on a dowel pocket, back it, press it, dowel it, string it- then send it off to you! This process can take a few days.

Do options cost additional?
Minor additions usually do not.
When there is a lot of work to do, it can. We usually deal with this on a case by case basis.
What do I need to know about woven tapestries?
- Tapestries textiles- they should not be washed unless you know how to do it correctly.
We highly recommend Dry Cleaning should it need attention. - A woven tapestry has a very limited color palette. Because they use the proximity of the threads to create color combinations, this means we have 142 possible colors.
This means vibrant, neon-like or florescent colors do not translate well.
This also means the tapestry can sport an 'aged' appearance. Which is actually a plus... it's a tapestry afterall!
