One of the most iconic scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry- here we see Harold Godwinson falling at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Although there is doubt that he perished from an arrow to the eye, he clearly can be seen receiving the blow to the leg which eventually led to his demise.
